Welcome to Psychology Perspective Lisa!
Depending on the issue, Lisa may offer a skills based treatment approach or in some cases, a longer term approach that focuses on emotional and self development. Her aim is for clients to feel heard and understood and to equip them with a range of skills that may ultimately help them lead happier and more meaningful lives.
Apart from private practice Lisa has experience in a range of settings including community outpatients, hospitals, schools and in rural Aboriginal communities. She has experience in dealing with range of problems including Depression, Post Natal Depression, Bipolar Disorder and Anxiety. She has a particular interest in longer term psychotherapy working with adults who have experienced childhood trauma.
Lisa works broadly within a range of models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Schema Therapy. The choice of method depends on the client and their needs at the time.
