If you’ve been affected by a violent crime in New South Wales, you may be eligible for free, trauma-focused counselling through the NSW Victims Support Scheme.

I am a registered and approved Victim Services counsellor offering confidential, compassionate care, honouring your story and supporting your recovery.

Using narrative therapy, I work alongside you to explore your experiences in a safe, respectful space, helping you reconnect with your strengths, values, and identity beyond the trauma.

Who Can Access This Support?

You may be eligible if you are:

  • A victim of a violent crime that occurred in NSW (e.g., domestic violence, sexual assault, robbery, hate crimes, or physical assault)
  • A family member of someone who has died as a result of a violent crime
  • A witness to a violent crime
  • A parent or guardian of a child victim
  • Someone who has experienced psychological harm as a result of a violent act

You don’t need to report the crime to the police. However, some documentation may be required, and I can help guide you through this process.

To check your eligibility or apply, contact the Victims Access Line on 1800 633 063 or visit
www.victimsservices.justice.nsw.gov.au

What Support Is Available?

Through the NSW Victims Support Scheme, eligible clients may receive:

  • Up to 22 hours of free counselling (more available in some cases)
  • Flexible sessions—in-person or online
  • Safe, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive support
  • Help processing trauma or navigating the justice system

It doesn’t matter whether the crime happened recently or long ago— support is available and healing is always possible.

Why Narrative Therapy?

Narrative therapy is a collaborative and respectful approach to counselling. It supports your healing by:

  • Seeing you as the expert in your own life
  • Helping you separate the trauma from your identity
  • Encouraging healing through storytelling and reconnecting with your core values
  • Respecting your voice, your dignity, and your lived experience

This approach is grounded in a humanist belief: that people are not problems to be fixed, but stories to be heard and honoured. I walk alongside you as you re-author your life in a way that reflects your resilience, meaning, and hope.
